Tech Arena — Day One and Two

Day one I had the honor of leading a discussion invited by Enterprise Ireland. Irish cybersecurity is thriving: startups and scaleups are producing innovative security solutions at speed, supported by strong research, talent pipelines and a pragmatic industry–government ecosystem. The conversation focused on how to scale commercial pilots, bridge skills gaps, and turn research into exportable products. The energy and entrepreneurial drive in the room were tangible.

On day two I joined a panel led by Nina Shariati titled “Resilience in the Age of AI and Constant Disruption.” We explored how organisations can build operational resilience amid rapid AI adoption, the importance of robust incident response, and why continuous learning and adaptable governance are now core strategic capabilities. Practical collaboration between private and public sectors — and investment in people — emerged as the common thread for staying ahead.

Both days underscored a simple truth: innovation matters, but resilience determines whether it endures.
